Other companies will charge you over 70$ to spray a broad leaf herbicide over your lawn.
The most obvious problem with this approach is that the herbicide is iron oxide (i.e rust). Most people will pay money to have rusting iron removed. Why would you pay 70$ to have it added?
A more subtle but serious problem it that it kills plants like clover which play an important role in fixing nitrogen in the soil. Without natural nitrogen fixation you become dependant on chemical fertilizers which the lawn care companies are also happy to apply for you (for another 70$). Or milkweed that is the only food for monarch butterfly caterpillars. Or Madagascar periwinkle which was a popular ground cover during the victorian period and is thus still associated with “old money estates.”

Mowing and fertilizing

The other companies selling mowing and fertilizing services aren’t lying to you. those sadly are neccessary. Even if you allow nitrogen fixing clover on your lawn, the soil will still slowly run out of potassium, calcium and various other compounds over the years.

1. we don’t trap you in a season long contract. We understand that sometimes you have the time to mow your own grass and sometime you don’t. and
2. For only 20 dollars extra we can spread fertilizer at the same time. A fertilizer spread would cost at least 50$ from most competing lawn care companies

Gardening

Most of our workers consider a beautiful garden to be one that grows berries or spices they would otherwise need to spend money on, so we sadly cannot provide you with good taste or vision. If however you are prepared to provide those attributes we can turn them into a reality for 20$ an hour+ supplies and equipment.
